Animation Projects
Living in (S)pain
In Spain or Living in (S)pain
I boarded, animated, and edited this music video in collaboration with Britt Prentice, associated with Breezeit Productions. The project was completed over the course of 5 months.
The characters in the video are cartoon versions of the singer and musician Britt Prentice, and Kevin Chokan respectively. The video tells a story of Britt’s character who is heart broken, reminiscing of a once adventurous love that has come to an end. The female figure in the story is a fictional representation and not an actual likeness of a specific individual.
My intentions for the visual story telling in this video were to create an animatic-like music video, drawing stylistic inspiration from the popular Gorillaz music videos. Where their production is astronomically beyond my capabilities given my resources and time frame, the theming of absurdist melancholy fueled my motivation to create this video. A great thanks to Britt Prentice and Breezeit productions for this collaboration and their cooperation.

Duck’s Nest short
Duck’s Nest is a short campus advertisement for Duck’s Nest Preschool.
I made this with a team of CSUF alumni as our first animation under our group “CKS Productions”, or Cheryl, Kyra, and Sasha Productions.
I was responsible for storyboarding, designing and coloring the layouts, partially supervising and coloring the animation, final editing and sound design.
The Hitman’s Brother
Password: Hitman’sBro20
The Hitman’s Brother is a short film that I was invited to work on with fellow CSUF alumni in 2020. I worked on the characters, specifically coloring in the animated frames. I’m very proud of the team and what we’ve done, special thanks to Raven Bennett-Burns and Sasha Ishikawa for inviting me and making all the amazing animation we get to see in the film, and to Alex Stathis for making it all happen.
On Target
On Target is an original animated short I made during the Fall (2019) and Spring (2020) semester at California State University Fullerton.
The animation was created during my time at California State University Fullerton under the classes 353A Animation Pre-Production, and 353B Animation Production with Wendy Grieb.
Below are concept drawings for the different stories I thought about making, along with some early designs of the lumberjack boy and bird.
The “Benji” to the left was what I had decided on during my first semester. Over winter break, I found he was easier to draw as the picture on the right, and so I stuck with that style when I animated.
